Artengine grand opening, Ottawa, July 8, 2005
During the grand opening of the Artengine exhibition space in Ottawa's Byward market, I trekked to a street corner elsewhere in the city where I had found an unencrpyted network.
I set up my computer and connected to the wireless network, and then recorded the street sounds—which that night were from an Arabic cultural event—processed that sound live into music, and broadcast it back to the audience at the Artengine space.
